Serra da Estrela ski resort is located in the Serra da Estrela mountain range in central Portugal. It is the only ski resort in Portugal and sits within the Serra da Estrela Natural Park. The resort is situated near the Torre peak, the highest point in mainland Portugal, at an altitude of approximately 1,993 meters.

The resort sits snugly between elevations of 1851 and 1988 meters. It is a small ski resort with 4 ski lifts and 130 metres of vertical descent. The nine ski pistes, totaling 7 km , vary from green to black, with difficulty levels suited to beginners and intermediates, while experienced skiers can tackle the challenging red piste. For added convenience, ski lifts are available, and snowboarders can enjoy a dedicated snow park.
The ski season can extend from November to April. The exact opening date is announced in mid-October, depending on the weather forecast.
