Sillian ski resort located in the East Tyrol region of Austria, near the Italian border. Nestled in the Puster Valley (Pustertal), Sillian sits at an altitude of around 1,100 meters and is surrounded by the stunning Dolomite mountain range.

The ski are Sillian Hochpustertal offers a small but varied network of slopes with their south-east-facing slopes. The mountain station is located at 2,407 m asl and is accessible via 7 modern ski lifts, 2 gondola lifts as well as 2 T-bar lifts. Sillian itself offers 22 km of piste. At the top of the mountain you can enjoy a panoramic view even on the Val Pusteria in South Tyrol. There are many red slopes for carving, but also some blue slopes for beginners. Special highlights are the 6 km long Kammabfarht red run to Sillian as well as the descent to the valley station of the 4-person chair lift "Außervillgraten". The Kammabfahrt piste is a notable run in the Hochpustertal ski area around Sillian, East Tyrol. This piste starts at the upper Thurntaler peak at an altitude of about 2,407 meters and descends steeply, offering a thrilling challenge for advanced skiers. The Kammabfahrt is known for its ridge-line route, which provides spectacular panoramic views of the Dolomites and surrounding alpine landscapes.
For children there is plenty to see and do in the "Bobo Kinderclub" with its own beginners' area near the top of the Thurntaler-Gondelbahn cable car.
The park at 2100 metres is blessed with a high snow assurance and offers snowboarders and free skiers a consistent quality. On snow secure 2,200 m and over a length of 300 m, you can go wild on rails, kickers, tubes and boxes for various levels of difficulty. Additionally, there is a wave track and a skicross track with steep curves and tunnels. The park is located in a sunny south-eastern position directly at the mountain station of the cable car and has its own lift and snow making facilities.
With the lift pass "SkiHit" you have the possibility to visit a total of 8 ski areas: Großglockner Resort Kals-Matrei, Brunnalm, Lienzer Dolomiten, Sillian, Obertiliach and Kartitsch in Alta Pusteria and in Carinthia the areas Mölltaler Glacier and Ankogel. A total of 190 km of piste of all levels of difficulty (including. ski routes) lets all skiers and snowboarder hearts beat faster.
Sillian ski resort is quite close to the 3 Zinnen Dolomites (also known as Tre Cime di Lavaredo), a famous and scenic mountain group in the Dolomites. The distance between Sillian and the main entry points to the 3 Zinnen Dolomites is approximately 25 kilometers.
Sillian village
With more than 2,000 residents it is one of the biggest municipalities in the Alta Val Pusteria. The village stretches along the main road and is dominated by two hills. On top of the one in the middle of the village, you can see a medieval castle, or rather a fortress, Heinfels which is in the process of an intensive renovation.
For those of you who are interested in culture and history, you can visit the "Prangersäule“, the only preserved middle age column in Tyrol and the Baroque church of Sillian built in the year 1431. Visit the Kunstgalerie Bachlechner Art Gallery on the way. Walk to the ancient square in Sillian to the pillory where adulterous women used to be punished. Imagine the music of Richard Strauss who stayed at the Schwarzer Adler Hotel.
