The Tuxertal is a Zillertal side valley and regarded as one of the most beautiful high Alpine valleys in the whole of Tirol. Between 1300 and 3250m, the Austrian village of Tux is located deep in the Ziller valley and close to the majestic Hintertux glacier. The Tux village spreads out over 8km and includes the villages of Tux-Vorderlanersbach, Tux-Lanersbach, Juns, Madseit and Hintertux.
The ski and glacier world Zillertal 3000 combines the ski areas around Ahorn, Penken, Rastkogel, Eggalm and the Hintertux Glacier (although a bus journey is required through the Tux valley to make up the link to the glacier ). The entire area offers 202 km of piste and has 65 lifts between 630 - 3,250 m.
