Ten-seater gondolas would replace the Zinal-Sorebois cable car in the 2020/2021 season. These new gondolas would reduce the travel time by 2.4 times. They would cost 14 million francs.
In order to replace the ski lift La Combe and develop the summer activities, the second section of the Sorebois gondola, planned to arrive at the Weisshorn area (at the arrival of the gondola-lift connecting Grimentz and Zinal) is planned to be built as soon as the funding allows. Thus, this gondola lift will allow customers to travel direc-tly from Zinal to an altitude of 2700 meters in 10 minutes. It will also allow pedestrians to cross the domain, to offer fun summer activities between the two ski areas and to gain access to the future restaurant.
Restaurant Space Weisshorn
The project consists of building, in collaboration with the Alpage de Sorebois, an altitude restaurant of about 120 places at the arrival of the gondola linking Grimentz and Sorebois, where the current and temporarily erected Bar-à-Pente is located.
