The Skihytta ski area is beautifully situated above the tree line. This was where the first ski lifts on the south face of the mountain were built in the mid-1970s. The slopes are perfectly aligned on the sunny side and run from the summit and down to the tree line. From the top station, you have an amazing view a good way into Sweden.
The new express lift starts at the car park below the S3 Bamse kids' lift. The chairlift is 1,356 metres long with a hight difference of 289 metres. The top station is located right next to the top station for the F2 Toppekspressen lift.
Skihytta Ekspress is the same comfortable lift as the F2 Toppekspressen, meaning high-backed seats, wind bubbles and heated seats.
"Skihytta reliably delivers sunny weather and great skiing, and for many of our guests is a favourite ski area. Which makes us especially pleased to be able to provide a rapid and comfortable express chairlift to the top station. The Skihytta Ekspress lift is guaranteed to boost skiing in the area enormously" says Jan Linstad, operations manager with SkiStar Trysil.
