St. Gallenkirch-Gortipohl: Valisera cable car ready for a new chapter

On the weekend of February 27th and 28th, 2021, it's time to say goodbye, because the Valisera Bahn will do its last laps. Take the opportunity to take the cult cable car to the ski area one last time and review the experiences you share with it. After 40 years of rolling, rattling and shaking, the Valisera Bahn has done its job and is entering its well-deserved retirement.

What remains and what is to come

The locations of the valley, middle and mountain stations as well as the route remain the same. The stations will be rebuilt and the gondolas will be replaced by the new D-Line from Doppelmayr. They include ten seats with heated seats and the twist-in system with indoor ski mounts - a significant improvement in quality compared to the old lift. At the same time as the renovation of the Valisera Bahn, an underground car park, an Intersport shop, a ski school office, a hotel and gastronomic units will be built.

Terminal: new, comfortable and eventful entry portal
Largest e-charging garage in Vorarlberg
Barrier-free via escalator to the train access
Mountain railway ticket offices and pick-up stations
Intersport shop with ski depot and Kästle Test & Buy Center
Ski school St. Gallenkirch: Information and course registration
Market hall catering as well as public restaurant and bar in the new Revier Hotel
Revier Hotel Montafon with gastronomy, a large fitness program and seminar rooms

Schilthornbahn: World`s steepest cableway is open!

The world's steepest cable car starts operating. The new direct connection between Stechelberg and Mürren was officially opened the day before as part of a VIP opening ceremony. At the same time, the first section of the cable car between Mürren and Birg will go into operation.

The new Plateau chairlift will enrich the Kronplatz ski area

Kronplatz, one of the premier ski destinations in the Dolomites, has introduced a state-of-the-art 8-seater chairlift named Plateau for the 2024/25 winter season. Located in the Olang sector, this new chairlift replaces the previous 4-seater, offering a significant upgrade in comfort and efficiency.
