Set in the magnificent Dolomiti ski area, the charming resort of San Cassiano is ideally positioned between La Villa and Cortina.
The surrounding mountains of the picturesque resort are particularly interesting from a historical perspective, as one can see relics from the 1st World War around Mount Lagazuoi. With great access to the Alta Badia skiing region via the Piz Sorega gondola, you really are gifted with an abundance of piste right on your doorstep.
San Cassiano is a particular favourite for mixed-ability groups, due to its immediate access to gentle runs and good sun exposure. The runs are particularly well looked after, including snow cannons on the above pistes to ensure conditions are at their utmost.
Located at just above 1500m, the resort allows for an easy return to your accommodation thanks to runs leading right down to the town. Should you want a little more of a challenge than the immediate runs, access to the Sella Ronda area – over 1100km of piste – is included in your ski pass. During the winter months, resort highlights include the natural toboggan run Foram, which at 4.9 miles long, is sure to give an added thrill to your ski holiday.
