See is the first small municipality visitors encounter as they travel along the Silvretta-Straße road leading into the narrow Paznauntal Valley.
The 1,200 residents live in houses and farms clinging to the steep, wooded mountain slopes. See in the Paznaun Valley is a place where beginners and cruisers will feel right at home. Though it has a range of slopes, from easy to expert, it is mainly dedicated to novices and families with children. This family-friendly approach is reflected in the large practice areas and childcare facilities on offer.
The resort tops out at 2,450 metres and provides a quieter, less hectic alternative to the neighbouring resort of Ischgl. In the winter of 2014/15 a new eight-man gondola was opened. It serves the Versingalm area, which has 8km of pistes and plenty of off-piste freeriding.
For children there is a Kids' Club, while snowboarders and freestylers can hone their skills in the funpark with its huge 15m airbag providing a soft landing. Experts will enjoy the "Adrenalin" black ski route with gradients of up to 75%.
Every Tuesday in winter, See puts on a unique entertainment programme in the evening. It begins with night skiing on floodlit pistes and continues with the spectacular Fire and Ice Show, which features ski demonstations, a torchlit parade and a colourful firework display. The fun concludes with a DJ set in the restaurant at the mid-way station of the cable car.
