The Ski Aréna Karlov is located in the picturesque village of Malá Morávka, in the area known as Karlov pod Pradědem, near the towns of Bruntál and Rýmařov. The resort offers skiers a total of more than 12 km of interconnected slopes of all levels, making it the largest ski resort in Moravia.
Ski Arena Karlov ski area
The largest area in the center of Karlov consists of a spacious meadow with wide red slopes and gentler blue slopes, served by the Karlovský Express and the Roháč Express, both 4-seater express lifts.
The wide racing red and narrower circular blue slopes run around the covered 4-seater Myšák lift, and the two red slopes at Kazmarku have a slightly sportier feel, with fewer crowds due to the less convenient anchor lift. Klobouk features sportier terrain and boasts the highest elevation in the entire Karlov area (195 meters), making it the least busy area in the valley. The red and black slopes here are served by an older 2-seater chairlift.
The leisurely trails are complemented by a cross-country track with banked turns, a snow park, and a timed slalom. Right next to the cable car is a children's park with two moving carpets.
The largest night skiing in Moravia is still one of the unique features of the Karlov Ski Arena. More than 4.3 km of slopes are artificially illuminated under the Karlov Ski Express four-seater chairlift.
The joint ski pass for the Karlov area currently covers around 12 km of slopes, including Myšák, Kazmarku, Karlovský Express, and Klobouk. Additionally, it is valid at the nearby Čerťák in Horní Václavov.
