The Stubai Glacier ski resort, located in the Stubaital Valley in Tyrol, it is Austria's largest glacier ski area, covering over 60 kilometers of slopes at altitudes ranging from 1,750 to 3,210 meters. It's about a 45-minute drive from Innsbruck and is easily accessible by car, bus, or train.

Advanced and expert skiers will also find plenty to keep them entertained, including the 10km "Wilde Grube" descent down to the bottom of the cable cars. The 10 kilometres "Wilde Grub'n"-trail is Austrias longest run from the top (3.150m) to the base of a ski-resort (1.750m). Or for something a bit steeper, Daunenhang (Red 9) and Eisjochzunge (Red 1b) are both good picks.
For the real experts and adventurous skiers, Stubai offers only one black run the Daunjoch (no 22) which is the longest and steepest with a maximum gradient of 60%. The Daunjoch chairlift opens up a black run of more than 3km from this area.
There are 7 marked ski routes in the area and 15 ‘Powder Department runs’. The 7 Ski routes are shown on the piste map with red dotted lines which are numbered.
The Stubai Glacier is the perfect family ski area. Young beginners, experienced ski kids or adventurous adolescents – there is many to experience and discover here: Big Family Kinderland with magic carpets and slalom for children, tyre merry-go-round, snow mammoth.

Stubai Glacier snowpark
The Snowpark Stubai Zoo with its length of 500 m on Gaisskarferner is ready for all the shredders out there. It is opened from October until spring.

The Stubai Zoo funpark is perfectly shaped and offers a set-up consisting massive jumps, funboxes and raillines. 3 Kickerlines with 2 jumps from 8 – 15 m followed by a combination of a 4th Kicker... On the 2nd Line with a Pyrabox and different Jib-Obstacles you’ll find a plenty of variety, at the 3rd Line you find some roller, where beginners can try their first jumps...
Stubai Glacier apres ski
There are five restaurants and five huts/ski bars in the vicinity of the Stubai glacier. The Schirmbar’s umbrella bar at the valley station usually opens from 2pm – 7pm, and those who want to continue the evening can move onto the Stadl for DJ’s and dancing.
Neustift village
Neustift is the closest village to the Stubai Glacier ski resort. The picturesque little village is dotted with high-class, half-board hotels full of Austrian charm.
Neustift has a good choice of cafés, pubs and bars with the most popular bars located around the Dorfplatz. Nightlife is limited, but there are a few good pubs and bars where you can relax in the evenings, as well as some lovely traditional restaurants. Don’t miss a visit to the Dorfpub, known for its friendly atmosphere and local beers. For a more sophisticated evening, head to the Piano Bar at the Spa Hotel Jagdhof.
