In the south of Austria, on the border of the provinces of Carinthia and Styria lies the village of Turracher Höhe. The healthy climate and outstanding natural beauty are the strongest points of this area.

Turracher Höhe ski area
The ski area opens up the surrounding hills and offers easy runs, especially suitable for beginners and lovers of relaxed skiing. The Turracher Höhe ski area distinguishes itself through many little advantages: the altitude (1.400 m - 2.205 m), snow guarantee from the end of November to the beginning of April. The ski area Turracher Höhe opens up 43 km of piste, accessible via 15 lifts.
The beginners' trails are right by Lake Turrach. Mängländer, Ottifanten, and Ubungswiesen-Lift take you to the practice runs. On Wednesdays, the run at Übungswiesen-Lift is even open for night skiing. Once you've gotten a hang of it, you can ski a number of clues at the east side of the resort.
More experienced skiers can practise their swings just below the mountain station. Along the north-facing slope, there is FIS run which awaits the expert skiers. The "Turracher-Runder 2,250" further offers the possibility to go on an anti-clockwise round course over the Turracher Höher - a unique ski and nature adventure.
Snowpark
At 2.030 m altitude lies the Snowpark Turrach Höhe. It stretched over a total length of 1.5 km and offers a great playground for beginner and pro alike. The beginner line offers great obstacles for trying out first tricks on benches, waves and beginner boxes. On the medium line, more experienced riders can try themselves on a kicker line ranging from 5 to 12 m in size, and various boxes and rails. The advanced line is reserved for pros. This jib area has various pro obstacles on offer - time for shredding deluxe!
Measuring 1.5 km, the XXL Funslope at the Schafalm piste promises big-times snow adventure on one of the longest slopes worldwide.
Turracher Höhe village
The village itself possesses a few shops and the bars are situated in hotels, which are thinly spread. Most of the cottages allow for skiing up to the front door. There are a few bars for après-ski drinks in the hotels. In the village there area two small shops and a tourist office.
