FIS opened a long-term horizon in front of Bansko the 51st Congress in Costa Navarino in Greece – we will host in the following 3 years 3 FIS Ski World Cups and a World Championship.
In 2019 there will be 3 mens starts between February 22ndand 24th. A year later, the ladies will decorate the Pirin landscape - their races are scheduled for January 25thand 26th. This confirms Bansko’s place among the best resorts - the privilege to hold a FIS World Cup have centres such as the Austrian Kitzbühel and Schladming, the Swiss Adelboden and Wengen, the German Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Italian Cortina d'Ampezzo.
In 2021, we will go directly into history. Immediately after the male FIS World Cup on February 27th and 28th, Banderishka Polyana will host its first U20 World Championship in Alpine Skiing, which will be broadcasted by Eurosport.
