Kobi-Gudauri connecting ski lift was opened on January 19, 2019. The project is implemented by the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia. This 7.5 km long cable car in the region will link Georgia’s Stepantsminda region to Gudauri and create a new cluster.

Poma - the leading European company, along with all the engineers and technical staff managed to carry out the project in a short period of time and in challenging climate conditions.
Along with a boosted potential of tourism, this project will help to overcome the most significant challenge, which we have every winter, when Kobi-Gudaui road gets blocked. From now on, each visitor will be able to use this cable-driven ski lift system in heavy snow or when avalanches are expected.
