From the 2016/17 winter season, Corvatsch boasts a great new highlight. There is now a new chairlift to take visitors up to the popular Curtinella piste.
The 6-seater chairlift, designed by Porsche, is 2200 metres long, making it one of the longest in the canton of Graubünden. The Curtinella piste is in the middle of the skiing area and links the Silvaplana-Corvatsch and Sils-Furtschellas mountains. The sunny location and hilly terrain make this the Engadin's dream piste. Now it can be reached more easily, and the new snow-making equipment will mean that winter sports fans can have fun on the piste from as early as 19 November 2016.
Two cable cars serving the Hossa Bar
The bottom station for the new chairlift is right beside the Hossa Bar. There are now two chairlifts starting from this popular meeting place, one going towards Murtèl-Corvatsch and one towards Curtinella-Furtschellas. The new chairlift is 750 metres longer than the old ski lift and its capacity is twice as high, at 2400 people per hour.
