VY Hemsedal in Totteskogen will be opening its doors to its first guests in time for Christmas 2019. With the slopes right outside the door and the village centre within walking distance, this hotel boasts everything you could want in a location. VY Hemsedal is being built stylishly in natural materials, successfully combining the mountain feel with luxury.
VY is the Scandinavian word for view, and as the name suggests VY Hemsedal offers stunning views out over the mountain. The hotel boasts the perfect location for those who want to be close to everything, as it offers direct access to the slopes, really living up to the term 'ski-in, ski-out', with a lift right outside the door. Ski hire and a sports shop will be right next to the building. Shops and nightlife are located just a short walk away.
VY Hemsedal is being built in Scandinavian style with solid natural materials and large, open and light surfaces. The stylish interior mirrors the hotel's location: the ceiling height is generous and the windows large, forming a natural inlet for nature and light.
The hotel will boast 150 rooms, including a number of suites, a grand lobby, a restaurant and bar and two terraces. 47 apartments integrated with the hotel and in varying sizes, from 60-140 m2, are also being built.
