Bettmeralp ski resort is located in the Swiss Alps, in the canton of Valais. It is situated at an altitude of 1,950 meters above sea level and is part of the Aletsch Arena ski area. Together with neighbouring villages Riederalp and Fiescheralp, Bettmeralp is part of the Great Aletsch Glacier - the heart of the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The 35 lift facilities provide access to pistes for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. All the Aletsch Arena pistes with just one ski pass. The Aletsch Arena ski pass is valid in all cableways and lifts. At between 1950 and 2869 m, the resort has ideal skiing conditions from December to April.
Bettmeralp is ideal for beginners as there are many gentle slopes just above the village that are well connected to the blue pistes. Unlike many resorts, the Blue trails reach as far as Riederalp to the left of the resort and all the way to Fiesch to the right meaning even novice skiers and boarders can enjoy ski to For a long cruising red, try the 4.6km Aletsch run from the top of the Bettmerhorn at 2647.
There is a limited amount of really challenging terrain with just 12kms of pistes. However, what makes the Aletsch Arena popular with advanced skiers is the ski touring possibilities.
Bettmeralp village
Bettmeralp is a car free resort, meaning all fuel vehicles are parked at the covered car park at Betten (below Bettmeralp) nd then leaving you relaxed and free to wander across the whole resort. The main street runs through the centre of the village and is still decorated with the classic cobblestones. All your amenities are based around this centre and strolling outside of this centre takes you into the outskirts of the town, where there are traditional building with gardens and a lot of space.
On the Bettmerhof sun terrace you can round off your day’s skiing perfectly with fine liqueur coffees, wonderful cakes or a glass of fine wine. Anyone who likes parties and being sociable meets for après ski when the slopes close at Q-Stall, the Scappatina Bar, Albi’s Mountain Rock Café or Dancing Alpfrieden. The Bachtla disco is the hot spot for young night owls.
