Champoussin is one of 3 Swiss resorts in the Val D’Illiez commune. At over 1,600m, the resort boasts very reliable snow conditions and provides access by cablecar to the main Portes du Soleil circuit.
In the winter months Champoussin becomes a snow lovers paradise. It’s the ideal starting point for beginners, families and experienced skiers alike. The Sépaya ski piste runs past Amici, a great blue piste which is free for children up to 13 years old.
For the more advanced there are some great off-piste areas within minutes or venture into the 650 km of the resort just waiting to be discovered. The uncrowded pistes of Champoussin offer something for everyone. Its the ideal base for total beginners and families with quiet wide runs. For the more advanced you have access to the whole Portes du Soleil ski region on one ticket…..and if you’re lucky enough to experience an overnight snowfall you’ll be treated to some of the best off piste skiing in the region.
For the non skiers there are endless possibilities from the countless walking trails, a hotel swimming pool, historic Champery’s indoor ice rink, thermal baths in Val d’Illiez or for the more adventurous… tandem paragliding.
The Swiss part of the Portes du Soleil ski area can be accessed separately with a CLCF ski pass. This pass covers the four Swiss resorts of Champery, Les Crosets, Champoussin and Morgins and no fewer than 37 ski lifts.
