Chamrousse is a ski resort located in southeastern France, nestled in the Belledonne Mountain Range within the Isère department. The former Olympic village of Chamrousse is situated in the heart of the Alps, making it a convenient destination for visitors, only 30 km from Grenoble.

The resort reached worldwide fame in 1968 when it was the venue for six events at the Grenoble Winter Olympics. During the Olympic Games in Grenoble in 1968, many French skiers distinguished themselves, such as Jean-Claude Killy and Marielle Goitschel, and the resort of Chamrousse became more and more famous.
The resort stretches from an altitude of 1,400 metres to 2,250 metres. Today, a 90-km alpine ski area and a 40-km Nordic ski area await the ski lovers.
Composed of several poles, the ski area of Chamrousse is divided into three sectors. First of all, Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin, a sector where experienced skiers will enjoy themselves on committed red runs. Then Chamrousse 1750 - Roche - Béranger, a ski area for all types of skiers with varied slopes, mostly blue. Finally, the sector of Chamrousse 1700 - Village du Bachat, which will allow beginner skiers to make their first turns and gain confidence and agility with every turn.At La Croix de Chamrousse (2250m), take some time to enjoy the 360° panorama: a magical view of all surrounding mountain ranges (Oisans, Vercors and Chartreuse), and of Grenoble and its valleys. From there, you can reach all parts of the resort. From the top of the slopes, you have a panoramic view over Grenoble and the Isère valley.
