Erzurum, the only large settlement in Anatolia at an altitude of 1959 meters above sea level, is located in the southwestern part of a high plateau. The region is surrounded by Dumlu mountains in the north and Palandöken mountains in the south. Turkey's most severe climate prevails in this region.
Erzurum ski resorts
In 2016, Palandöken and Konaklı ski resorts combined to create a premiere venue: Ejder 3200 World Ski Center. In addition to an immense 65km of breath-taking slopes, Ejder 3200 World Ski Center has superior snow quality thanks to the area’s unique conditions.
Palandöken Mountain is a part of Ejder 3200 World Ski Center and Palandöken is in southern Erzurum and lies in the east-west direction the summit is 3185m. Erzurum has one of the coldest climates and is one of the highest altitude positioned provincies of Turkey covered with a blanket of snow for 4-5 months during winter. Under normal weather conditions in Palandöken Ski Centre the snow can reach upto 2-3 metres high.
The ski resort Konakli is located in the Eastern Anatolia Region (Turkey). For skiing and snowboarding, there are 22 km of slopes available. 6 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 2,200 and 3,140 m.
Palandoked Snowpark
Snowpark has exciting freestyle features and terrain for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. There are 6 objects and 2 ramps in the park:1 flat box, 1 battleship, 1 ip-flat box, 1 flat down box, 1 down rail, 1 rainbow, 2 ramps/kicker.
Snowpark track length 600m., track slope 51.2%, top level 2630m., bottom level 2500m. Snow floor thickness is 100 cm.
Erzurum village
Palandöken, which is about 13 kilometers away from Erzurum province, is considered as one of the most important tourism regions of the country. The distance from the ski resort to the center of Erzurum is only 10 minutes.
