Gerlitzen Alpe – located in the heart of Carinthia with stunning panoramic views of Italy, Slovenia and over half of Carinthia. At 1,911 m above sea level, the Gerlitzen Alpe offers you 20 state-of-the-art comfortable lift facilities and 25 wide, perfectly groomed, versatile slopes. It's the home of Winter Olympic gold medallist Matthias Mayer.
Gerlitzen ski area
Access the ski area from Annenheim, via the Kanzelbahn gondola. From the middle station, sweeping pistes open out across the mountain, offering a wide range of skiing for all abilities. Those new to the snow can find their feet at the fantastic beginners’ area located at the middle station.
This ski area in the heart of Carinthia is especially suited for families with children, thanks to its soft hills, wide pistes and comfortable lift systems. The little ones will find perfect conditions around the middle station, with the children's land and the "Schneebärenland", where there is also child-care service available.
More experienced riders will enjoy the 7 km long valley descent to Klösterle, which actually covers an altitude difference of 911 metres. A wonderful view of Lake Ossiach and the surrounding mountains can be enjoyed during the 1 km long Wörthersee descent, which commences on the 1,911 m high peak of the Gerlitzen. A real insider's tip for ski cracks is the more challenging area around the Gegendtaler run, with a total length of 1.7 km.
A special highlight is the "Stella Ronda", a 360° ski round-course, covering 36 km of pistes through the entire ski area (without taking your skis off , with 36 kilometres of slopes and over 5,300 metres of altitude change).
Gerlitzen snowpark
In the Gerlitzen ski area, freestylers on both skis and snowboards will fine a small, yet promising park perefct for letting off steam! Jumps, corners, boxes, slides and wave rides create the perfect starting point into the freestyle scene. The combination of various obstacles and an even larger jumping opportunity invite even the pros among us to show us what they've got.
A special plus in the park is the speedy chair lift, which eliminates long waiting times and keeps the adrenaline junkies on their toes.
On the Klösterle, the "Kids Park" gets beginners revved up to try out diverse obstacles.
