Ischgl ski area
It is one of the top wintersports resorts in the Alps – Ischgl. This modern resort in the Paznauntal Valley has a selection of perfectly prepared pistes spread across the huge Silvretta Arena, all connected together by state-of-the-art lifts and cable cars. Beginner, intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders flock to Ischgl from late November until early May. As well as challenging pistes, the resort has plenty of backcountry with deep powder fields. Ischgl is popular not only because of its slopes and facilities but also thanks to its legendary events. The regular Top of the Mountain concerts have already drawn some of the biggest names in music to the Paznauntal Valley, including Robbie Williams, Rihanna, Elton John, Miriah Carey and Katy Perry, to perform at the Idalpe in front of thousands.
Excellent regional food is served in a number of huts, bars and restaurants throughout the resort. There is also plenty of après-ski action in the many bars and clubs once the skiing day is done.
Ischgl village
Ischgl itself is a relatively small village, with most accommodation close to the Silvretta Bergbahn lifts. It is home to a selection of ski and snowboard schools with expert instructors. And, last but not least, those who don't have their own wintersports equipment will find plenty of hire shops with friendly staff.
