Klosters ski resort: Madrisa - Parsen ski area
Klosters shares 251km of great skiing with neighbouring resort Davos – an area which is fully accessible on one ski pass. The Parsenn & Weissfluhjoch is the largest ski area, well connected with funiculars and chair lifts, including the Gotschnagrat cable car from the centre of Klosters. The Gotschnabahn cable car ferries skiers and boarders up into this skiing paradise, which is surrounded by dramatic panoramic views of the Bocktenhorn, Weisshorn, Scalettahorn and more. From the Gotschnagrat summit at 2,285m you can ski back down to Klosters itself on red or black runs, whilst the more advanced skier will enjoy the exciting off-piste routes back.
From the top of the Weissfluhjoch funicular there's a wide choice of superb runs down five different valleys for the intermediate skier. The black runs over the moguls from up at the Gipfel at 2,840m offer more of a challenge. The 12km piste down to Kublis descends over a variety of terrain until you reach the Schwendi in the woods where there are two beautiful, rustic mountain restaurants where we can recommend the rösti.
Madrisa is Klosters’ own smaller, sunny ski area, which is typically popular with beginners. Madrisa Beautiful south facing slopes situated above Klosters and reached by gondola. This ski area is ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers with wide and open runs, several restaurants and lively snow bars. From the summit at 2,602m there is a beautiful long 4km run down to the Zugenhüttli chair lift.
