Boasting pristinely manicured slopes, excellent services, a varied event program and a relaxed atmosphere, Tahko Mountain has it all! Tahko’s slopes are the largest in Eastern Finland and the fourth largest in the country. With the slopes facing two different directions, you can always find a spot to enjoy the sunshine, or watch the sunset.
On winter Season Tahko Mountain is famous for its perfectly-groomed slopes. The downhill ski season here starts in December and lasts till April. The slopes of Tahko Mountain have different trails ranging from easy ones suitable for beginners to those where international competitions are held.
The longest slope at Tahko Mountain is 1,200 metres and the maximum vertical drop is 200 metres. The resort features 24 slopes, 11 of which are illuminated. And 15 lifts take you to the top, including 2 chair lifts.
Snowboarders and freestyle skiers can find their thrills at Tahko Freestyle Park, Kids Slopestyle and Tahko Park which features boxes and rails for jibbers.
For little guests and beginners, Tahko Mountain has prepared many safe and fun snow activities to make their holiday unforgettable as well and that area is called Mini Mountain. Tahko has five unique slope restaurants around the slope area. Legendary Pehku and Panorama Bar & Café on the top of Tahko, Restaurant Tirol next to the main lifts, and Kunkku on the bottom of Tahkolahti bay. On the west side of slopes you find restaurant Lännen Kaisla. Restaurants open in the morning, or latest at lunch time, so there is no need to leave slopes for dining. Tahko´s famous after ski is at its best on weekends, but on high season there is always a place for celebrating on weekdays as well. Almost all the slope restaurants will also serve dinner by agreement and they can be reach by the car.
