Valberg ski area
Most of the pistes give you around 300 to 400 meters of descent. Many of the pistes run down through wide, shady, gorges. This helps preserve the snow later into the season and is very attractive as the rocks feature spectacular hues of red, green and yellow. The two resorts Valberg and Beuil are divided into a number of different sectors, piste signposting is excellent but there are some long traverses to get from one area to the other which may be annoying for snowboarders.
Valberg ski area is made up of 11 green, 11 blue, 28 red and 6 black trails. It is ideal for beginners, who can enjoy pleasant descents in the middle of the trees. The resort is surrounded by mountain slopes such as the Croix du Sapet (1821 m), the Tête du Sapet (1852 m) and the Tête des Eguilles (1884 m). The most experienced are not left out, with the trails in the Dreccia-Pra Brûlé reserved for the most skilled skiers.

Valberg village
Compared to Beuil which is an authentic provencal mountain town Valberg has something of a "Wild West" feel to it being layed out along a main street: there is a good range of shops (one good supermarket and various other tabacs/newsagents and gift shops), a cinema, restaurants and pubs. There’s even an ‘Irish’ crêperie called L’Irlandais — just in case you’re homesick and in need of the comfort of a Hibernian pancake.
In the village, there is a free shuttle system and electric car sharing for easy transportation.
Guests usually stay in small 2* and 3* hotels offering spacious family rooms with several bedrooms and a kitchen. But the most of prominent local hotels it is considered "Swiss Chalet". All buildings are designed in the same style - a traditional Alpine chalet.
