The winter season 2018/2019 of Bormio Ski launches a whole new concept regarding mainly families. The ski resort strongly aims to improve services dedicated to families on the snow and it is ready to become the first theme park on the snow.
The latest innovations of Bormio Ski 2018/2019
Bigger Fun Area
The Fun Area, introduced last winter with great success, becomes extra large and gets redesigned.
The area is projected for everyone’s fun with two main attractions: Funslope and Familypark.
The Funslope is a course with big waves of snow, carving turns, snow tunnels and interactive sound elements.
This winter we are adding new items to the funslope to make it even more fun!
The Familypark, the snowpark for freestyle rookies, will be restyle, too, and it will change into one single line where to show creativity and courage.

Funslope Valbella: fun is doubled
Bormio Ski will be adding a second funslope within the ski area, at 2,538 meters, in the area named Valbella. The place can be easily reached by the chairlifts Bormio 2000-Cimino or Fontanalonga-Valbella. Funslope Valbella will have two sound elements and speed detected by a funny slope cop.
New freestyle area
For the winter 2018/2019 we have identified a new location reserved for the freestyle area of medium-advanced level.
Snowpark Bormio will be situated at 2,225 meters and served by the skilift Rocca Est. The freestyle project, in collaboration with young mountain marketing, aims to improve season by season.

Tunnel Fontana Lunga
In the area called Fonta Lunga, at about 2,000 meters, we have built a tunnel which will allow skiers to cross the Stelvio slope even during the World Cup events. Markus Waldner, FIS director, made his positive comment about this new infrastructure pointing out the importance of it for a peaceful coexistence between athletes and tourists.
