Predazzo ski resort - Ski Center Latemar area
The name of the Ski Centre Latemar derives from the Latemar mountain chain, at the foot of which the localities of Obereggen, Pampeago and Predazzo are located. According to legends, the peaks of this mountain chain are fossilised puppets. The ski carousel, however, does not only offer a great view on the Latemar, but also on the Sella Group, the Marmolada, the Civetta, the Gruppo Tessa as well as the Ötztal Alps.
A multi-day ski pass for Obereggen gives access to the Val di Fiemme/Obereggen association, which combines the Ski Center Latemar with the resorts of Alpe Lusia, Alpe Cermis and Jochgrimm-Oclini, as well as the ski lifts in the villages of Deutschnofen/Nova Ponente and Petersberg/Monte San Pietro – a total of 111 km of slopes! And that's not all.
Obereggen also belongs to the Dolomiti Superski carousel, the world's largest ski area, with a total of 1,200 km of pistes to satisfy even the most demanding of winter sports fans.
Latemar skiing
Gentle slopes at the bottom of the area are ideal for beginners, while more experienced skiers can reach the top of the peaks using the resort's ski lifts.
The arguably biggest black challenge in the Val di Fiemme-Obereggen ski area can be found at Zanggen (it. Pala di Santa). The Pala di Santa slope is the steepest in “Ski Center Latemar” and offers an inclination of up to 58 %. The first part of the 2.3 km long descent is particularly treacherous due to its icy passages. The black cult slope Agnello at Pampeago is a challenge for all experienced skiers and snowboarders, which features a drop of 420 m on 2.6 km.
A gem for all winter sports fans is the ski tour "Korallenberge" - just follow the coral symbols.
In Predazzo, skiers cannot only indulge in their hobby during the day, but will also get their money's worth in the night ski areas. The nearby ski area Obereggen opens some of their pistes three times per week in the evening. The night snowpark offers snowboarders and freeskiers the opportunity to use the eight brightly illuminated obstacles for longer than usual.

Predazzo village
In the old town centre, dominated by the neo-Gothic church dedicated to the saints Filippo and Giacomo (built in 1870), there are still many ancient houses and buildings – some are decorated with frescoes. The oldest church of Predazzo is S. Nicolò Church, built in the Sixteenth century.
In Predazzo there is an indoor pool suitable for the whole family.
