The all-new Alpin Card unites Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, Schmitten in Zell am See and Kitzsteinhorn Kaprun, transforming them into a major player in Alpine tourism – kicking off in winter 2019 -2020.
The Ski Alpin Card, your new key to three premium ski regions, the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, Schmitten in Zell am See and Kitzsteinhorn Kaprun, will launch during the 2019/20 ski winter season. With 408 kilometres of slopes, 120 cable cars & lifts and plenty of attractions including glaciers, the new card promises nearly endless mountain bliss and is thus THE highlight in the Alpine region.
This powerful alliance featuring three premium regions will allow for increased convenience and clarity in services offered, because in future uniform prices will apply in all three regions for single day passes, multi-day passes and season and year-round passes.
Three brand worlds - one world of experience
All new this winter, the Ski Alpin Card unites three top Alpine brand names under a single roof! The Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, the "Home of Lässig," is already one of Austria's largest and most diverse ski areas with 270 kilometres of downhill runs, 70 cable cars and lifts as well as over 60 huts. The Schmitten panorama and family ski area offers a variety of themed slopes for skiers of all ages as well as unique panoramic views of the mountain town of Zell am See. The Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun, which is open all year round, is Salzburg's only glacier ski resort, and offers 100 percent guaranteed snow. With its "Top of Salzburg" panorama platform at 3,029 metres, it is undoubtedly the Alpine highlight of the province.
The formula: 1 ALPIN CARD - 3 premium regions - endless mountain experiences
The Ski Alpin Card, which will be available from the 2019/20 winter season, is just one of a wide range of Alpin Cards to combine a unique density of experiences throughout the Alps. This offer brings an extensive range of ticket options to meet the individual wishes and requirements of guests including: single day and multi-day passes, two season passes with the Ski Alpin Card (winter) and the Hike Alpin Card (summer), as well as two year-round passes with the 365 Action Alpin Card and the 365 Classic Alpin Card. In any event, the simple formula for a premium mountain experience is: 1 Alpin Card, 3 regions for endless mountain experiences! Discover why the many Alpin Cards are as varied as the Alpine possibilities they open up, providing guests with a supra-regional density of experiences that is truly second to none.
Investing in innovation and comfort
The desire to be one of the best destinations in the world means that we are constantly developing. The latest projects of the three premium ski regions are also contributing to this strategy. 100 million euros are being invested this year alone in all three regions in the form of future-oriented projects. Parallel to the introduction of the Ski Alpin Card, the dream of generations will finally come true from winter 2019/20 onwards: First, the 3K K-ONNECTION will connect the centre of Kaprun directly with the glacier. Next, the zellamseeXpress will connect the Schmitten in Zell am See with the Glemmtal. Finally, at the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, the Zwölferkogelbahn cable car at the World Cup downhill racecourse will also be revamped.
For Isabella Dschulnigg-Geissler (CEO Saalbacher Bergbahnen GmbH), Erich Egger (CEO Schmittenhöhebahn AG) and Norbert Karlsböck (CEO Gletscherbahnen Kaprun AG), the new alliance and the joint impetus towards year-round tourism and higher added value in the individual destinations is a strong motivation for the major investments, in addition to being a strategic imperative for the joint development of new service offers.
